Excerpt from the Sterling Corp. Employee Handbook
Section 4: Professional Conduct and Communication
At Sterling Corp., we believe a cohesive and productive work environment is paramount. To foster such an atmosphere, all employees are expected to adhere to a high standard of professional conduct. This includes, but is not limited to, respectful interaction with colleagues, clients, and supervisors, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive company information, and dressing appropriately for the workplace.
Furthermore, effective communication is vital for our operations. We encourage open dialogue and constructive feedback. When preparing for internal meetings, such as those discussing the weekly project status or planning future initiatives, it is essential to come prepared. This involves reviewing the preliminary meeting agenda in advance, formulating pertinent questions, and contributing thoughtfully to the discussion. A well-structured meeting agenda discussion ensures that all participants are aligned and that time is used efficiently. Please ensure all contributions to discussions, whether in person or via digital platforms, are professional and conducive to a positive outcome.
Instances of unprofessional conduct or policy violations will be addressed promptly and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Specific details regarding grievance procedures and disciplinary actions can be found in Section 8 of this handbook.
