Woman A: Hi David, do you have a moment? I wanted to talk about the upcoming team reorganization. We need to finalize the new departmental structure by Friday.
Man: Absolutely, Sarah. I've been reviewing the proposed org chart. I think the division into product-focused teams is a solid move, but I'm a bit concerned about the reporting lines for the new analytics unit. It seems a bit ambiguous.
Woman A: That's a valid point. We need to ensure clear accountability. Perhaps we could have them report directly to the VP of Operations temporarily, until we have a permanent manager in place? This might also help streamline processes, like the approval for the expedited utility bill payment we discussed last week.
Man: That could work. It would give them more autonomy and visibility. I also think we should clarify the responsibilities of the senior developers in the new structure. Some might be taking on more mentorship than initially planned.
Woman A: Agreed. Let's schedule a follow-up meeting for Thursday to iron out these details and finalize the documentation. I'll send out an invite shortly.
